NAMES
There is a multitudinous variety of names that are associated with the Eucharist. The reasoning for this is that all the names have a distinctive definition of the Eucharist that separates them from each other and evokes particular features of the sacrament. In the Catechism of the Catholic Church (Part Two The Celebration of the Christian Mystery, Section Two The Seven Sacraments of the Church , Chapter One The Sacraments of Christian Initiation, Article 3 The Sacrament of the Eucharist - II. These names include: Eucharist, The Lord's Supper, The Breaking of the Bread, the Eucharistic Assembly (synaxis), the Holy Sacrifice, the Holy and Divine Liturgy, the Holy Communion and the Holy Mass (Missa).
